In the first episode of Brisk Bodega Presents: The Up&Up, we meet Phil T. Annand, internet impresario, manager of the Flatbush Zombies, and founder of The Madbury Club. His story is not unlike many other success stories in the year 2013: it started on the internet. He founded The Madbury Club as a blog, but it quickly evolved and grew into a creative hub of style, music, and art. Plus, Phil pushes the Flatbush Zombies, a rap group at the forefront of an emerging scene in Brooklyn.
The Up&Up is a new series that highlights individuals and groups that are navigating the music industry in interesting new ways. From artists who make posters and merch, to rap crews that release music at astounding rates, it's a new age in the music game, and we'll show you what it takes to rise above the rest.
